I was at Anime Expo all weekend long thanks to carpooling. I called my Aunt up Monday morning (7-6) to let her know I would take her out shopping on Wednesday morning at 11:00 and that she also had a 2:00 Eye appointment. She said okay, but sounded kind of sullen. She wanted to know why no one called her on Sunday? July 5th was my Aunts birthday. Whoops. I let her know I was out of town all weekend. She said, "Where?" I said Los Angeles. Explaining Anime Expo to her would do neither of us any good.
After I called my Aunt I called my Mom to give her the Tuesday morning shopping slot. Turns out my Aunt called her days earlier and asked my mother to think about something. My Mom was a little worried about what my Aunt was going to say since her mannerism was very rude. My Aunt has the Gaul to say, "What have you ever done for me?" My Mom being a cool cucumber says, "Okay, I will think about that...Goodbye." My Mom told me my Aunt sounded like she was itching for a fight, but she was not willing to take the bait.

Wed (5-6) I had a crazy day. I had to pick up Dale for his 11:15 Oral Surgery follow up. At 12:15-ish I was supposed to take Aunt Mary and my Mom shopping with me. After I dropped Dale off home I called Aunt Mary and my Mom to let them know I was on my way. I picked Mom up with no incidents & drove straight to my Aunts. I went to her door like always to speak with her. Before I could talk she asked me who was in my car? My Mom. She just said, "Oh". I let her know I was taking my car and she could sit in the front seat. She did a quiet meltdown. She is always crazy, but I did not notice this meltdown because she wasn't yelling this time. She would come out and stand on her porch, look at her garage, HUFF, and go back inside. She repeated this 4 times. When she finally came all the way out to my car she seemed annoyed and sullen. (Like I give a rat's hind end.) As soon as she decides to speak to us she asks, "What we are doing? Why are we going shopping when I said we were going to do something else?" (I said no such thing) After I picked up my jaw off the floor I said, "I told both of you I needed to go shopping for groceries and that you could come along if you wanted to. I never promised anything else." I was driving this whole time making sure not to get overly agitated and run into another Pole. We arrive at the Plaza Bonita Target and get out. My Mom quietly extracts herself into another part of Target away from Aunt Mary. Smart woman. I decide to put some effort into distracting my Aunt. I ask her if she wants to go upstairs to the Food Court? I am not sure why Aunt Mary's "WHY?" is so venomous, but it always drips with some poison. I let her know that she could walk around and look at stores then pick up a Subway sandwich. (Do you think Subway would hire my Aunt as an evil spokesmodel?) She likes this idea so we head out & up. Aunt Mary never exercises her legs, just her mouth so our "look around" ended very very quickly. We headed straight to Subway and ordered. Then we headed right back down to Target. She pushed her cart while I pushed groceries at her. My Mom was puttering along just fine. We actually had a successful trip despite the rocky start and I took everyone home.
