You know me. You know the crap I sometimes watch. It was too tempting not to rent. I just saw Cougar Club. It is amusing and wrong. It was not as good as the American Pie movies, but it was much better than I expected. It would have to be, since I expected zilch. It did have a plot, so I cannot complain about that. I remember many a movie from the 70's & 80's that had a plot line so thin I could see through it. Sometimes I would rather watch a movie I expect to be bad than a movie I had high hopes for that crashed and burned. You should only rent this movie if you like stupidity & breasts.

On the busiest day, comes more work. Try not to fight it. You will only get a bigger headache. Just expect it. Murphy’s Law and his doom fairies are going to drop an extra load onto your back. This is also related to being in a hurry. Slower vehicles will fall from the sky just to get in your way. Try not to blow a gasket.

Gentlemen, if you are out there I would like to give you a helpful hint. Rub your mates back every once in a while. I don't mean for 30 seconds either, really massage it. I swear this will benefit both of you.

I got sucked into the History Channel...again. Sometimes it makes me feel old, but then I remember that History was my favorite subject in High School. This time I was watching Modern Marvels: Harvesting. I saw how they picked Cranberries, Dates & Mushrooms. I had no idea how much drama was involved. I notice that a lot of modern equipment has been invented but there is ALWAYS some original piece that is still required. Some crops are just too delicate to mangle with a rough machine. They require serious amounts of handwork and some old wooden tool.

At the end of the show the growers mentioned that they don’t have as much labor as they would like. Teenagers move out of town as soon as possible and the government has cracked down on illegal immigrant workers. Yes, they admitted it on air. They want more Mexicans. I wonder how much they pay the locals versus the migrants? Hmmm.

Slade was born April 23 to Sesh & Sara. He is a Taurus and they are in for a ride. Somewhere out there Chuck Norris applauds.

While Ned was visiting my Mom called. My receiver is set on high so everyone could hear her without much effort. She was watching Dancing with the Stars. One of the dancers pulled a muscle. At super speed my Mom says, "I had a muscle cramp. Is that the same? How do you pull a muscle? What were you doing the last time you pulled a muscle?"
Ned & I burst out laughing. I could not speak for a full minute. Then I said, "Since there are children in the room I will say that I pulled a muscle picking up something heavy".

Both kids walked home from school Thursday. It was a milestone that seems funny to me. I never got a ride home from Elementary school. My Mom & I would walk home. Eventually I walked home by myself. (I was bussed out to Junior & Senior High). I think the News channels make us believe children are being kidnapped every second of every day. That might be true, but most children are taken by someone they know, usually a parent or their Moms sleazy boyfriend. The world was not safer when I was a kid. It was just as insane then as it is now. Everyone should know their way around. It is just silly my kids not knowing how to get home. It is a side effect of never walking. I have to learn to let go and pray a lot :-)

With some protesting I took Aunt Mary to get a blood test. I dropped her off home and picked up Dale for his blood test. I like to visit the Vampires on the same day. These tests are usually done 1 week before a doctor's visit. Aunt Mary saw Dr Kurisu on the 23rd. The Nurse had asked a few questions about my Aunts pills that she did not like. Dr Kurisu came in and asked the same questions, "Have you been taking all your medications?" My Aunt threw a hissy fit and said, "that she did not want to take her pills. She knew what she needed and she was fine! <add more crap>"
Why is it that when we complain about being a grown-up that we sound the most like a child?
Dr Kurisu called her on it! He told her that her blood test was not good. Her blood pressure was up and so was her Cholesterol. He convinced her to go pick up her medications from JANUARY and start taking them. He wrote out 4 new prescriptions since the old ones would be back on a shelf by now. Dr Kurisu is a good man. He looked worried about Madame Madness and he has a right to. At least he got her to take the pills. We picked them up that day and I will see if she is out of them next month...or not.

Because I hated it so much I am posting my original blog text over to LJ.
Cloverfield Sucks (No Spoilers). Ned & I went to a completely sold out show. The 7:30 was packed so we went to the 8:10. I would love to tell you that I saw a great movie Monday night, but I cannot. I did not really see much of it at all. The movie was so jittery it was like viewing crack addicted Ferrets in search of their next fix. So many things happened that “required” the handycam to zip from one spot to another. I was woozie 5 minutes in! I stuck it out long enough to see the big monster and the first few others. I walked out immediately afterwards. I wobbled my way to the Customer Service desk and asked for some kind of refund. The woman took one look at me and my ticket and said, “Did You Vomit?” I assured her that I felt like it, but no. She went on to say that several people had thrown up! Any director who films his entire movie without a steady-cam is admitting that his movie is un-watchable. Which it was! So here’s to you Mister JJ Abrams! My personal pick for @$$#0!% of the Month!
